Clean Beaches, healthy oceans. Let's Make it Happen.
Each beach cleanup makes a difference for animals, people, and the environment.
How Big is the Problem?
About 12 million tons of plastic enter the ocean each year—a number expected to triple in the next twenty years. Up to 80% of the world’s marine pollution starts on land, as everyday litter—from beaches, streets, and communities—makes its way into the ocean through wind and waterways.
From cigarette butts to plastic bottles, beach litter is more than just an eyesore—it’s become a global crisis and addressing it is a critical part of marine conservation. It fuels ocean pollution, harms marine life, threatens human health, and accelerates climate change.

Who Does it Harm?
Wildlife and People
-
Microplastics—tiny plastic particles that form when plastic litter breaks down—are a major threat:
-
They are consumed by ocean wildlife from tiny fish and seabirds to sea turtles, dolphins, and whales. Many of these creatures die from internal injuries, blockages, or starvation.
-
Microplastics end up in seafood, drinking water, and even the air we breathe, causing human health issues.
-
-
Littered beaches hide sharp objects, chemical waste, and harmful bacteria, posing direct risks to beachgoers.
-
Animals like seals, dolphins, sea turtles, and seabirds get entangled in litter, leading to injuries, drowning, and death.

A Solution that Works
BeBot is an innovative, all-electric, solar- and battery-powered machine that removes debris from beaches, preserving coastlines and protecting the ocean and marine life. And it cleans beaches faster, deeper, and cleaner than manual cleanups can—all without damaging habitat or harming wildlife.

We'll start with one BeBot to clean New England beaches. Our long-term goal is to have enough BeBots to clean the entire New England coastline, plus the shores of New York and New Jersey.
