Why Your Help is Needed Now
The ocean regulates our climate, provides us with at least 50% of the air we breathe, feeds us, and is home to a vast array of life. We need the ocean to survive.
But the amount of plastic entering the ocean is increasing. According to a 2020 study by The Pew Charitable Trusts and SYSTEMIQ, “without immediate and sustained action, the annual flow of plastic into the ocean could nearly triple by 2040.” Plastic in the ocean is dangerous to marine life, contaminates the food chain—posing risks to human health—damages ecosystems, and contributes to climate change.
Let’s create a cleaner, safer future—one beach at a time. We'll start with one BeBot to clean New England beaches. Our long-term goal is to have enough BeBots to clean the entire New England coastline, plus the shores of New York and New Jersey.

Clean Up
It's projected that one Bebot can clean 15 targeted Gloucester, Massachusetts beaches in 20.5 days, covering approximately 276,690 square feet (25,705 square meters).*
Efficient Waste Collection
One Bebot is estimated to collect approximately 8,598 lbs of waste (3,900 kilograms), including small debris and litter under the top layer of sand that often goes unnoticed by manual cleanups.*
Data Collection
Waste collected will be sorted and analyzed to understand the type of litter on our beaches.
Data insights will be used to raise awareness of the littering issue, refine cleanup strategies, promote long-term sustainability, and generate ideas for preventing littering before it happens.
